Charlie Austin: Ex-Premier League star returns to Hungerford Town

Charlie Austin signs for Hungerford Town.

Hungerford Town boss Danny Robinson has reshuffled his squad with several eye-catching signings including a former Premier League star.

Hungerford-born Austin played in the Premier League for the likes of Southampton and Queens Park Rangers after beginning his senior career with Kintbury Rangers.

The 36-year-old forward worked his way up the divisions, playing for Hungerford in 2007 before heading to Thatcham Town, Poole Town, Swindon Town and Burnley, where he joined QPR for an undisclosed fee.

Most recently, the striker has been with Basingstoke Town and AFC Totton after a spell in Australia with Brisbane Roar.
